1783 Nova Constellatio Small US Blunt Rays NGC Fine Details Damaged. Nice coin closer to VF than F, and this cataloger cannot find evidence of the "damage" that the coin is supposed to have. Though struck in England by a private mint and modeled after the Nova Constellatio pattern coinage of 1783, these coins entered circulation in NY most likely a few years after the actual dates they possess. The present coin, despite the NGC labeling, is a very nice representation of the coinage of Colonial America. (Image)
