1874 Princess AU or very nearly so w/ no problems. Great type coin! The mintage of $3 gold pieces spiked in 1874 and the most likely reason was the destruction and re-coinage of older gold coins that was mandated by the Mint Act of 1873 - the same act that eliminated the Half-Dime and slightly increased the weight of all other subsidiary US silver coins.
