1862-S Liberty (Type 1) PCGS XF45. A conservative grade for PCGS considering that most of this issue were poorly-struck. Prices increase dramatically in the AU grades, and it is virtually unknown in mint state. This coin is a beautiful original from a time when gold from the San Francisco Mint was seen in the channels of everyday commerce, hence most examples show extensive wear. (Image)
