Mars. 1904 Picture Postcard headed from "Rothesay Bay, writing this on board the steamer The Mars", a KEVII ½d cancelled at Greenock, with superb oval "GLASGOW & SOUTH WESTERN RLY / P.S / 20 AUG 1904 / MARS / STEAM VESSELS" in violet. One of the rarest of all the Scottish steamer cachets, just two other examples recorded (both sold at auction within the last two years, for £900 and £920 respectively). Photo on Page 74. (Image1)
