Collection / Accumulation of Used North Borneo and Malay States, consisting of several hundreds of stamps on several Vario-style and quadrille pages. We note half the accumulation is North Borneo, ranging from 1886 to 1961, with particular strength from 1894 to 1922. A spot check showed the majority of stamps cataloguing between $1 and $3, with some cataloguing over $10 (many with town postmarks). The lot continues with pages of Straits Settlements including high values with Scott #166d and #167d (with probable revenue postmarks). The lot concludes with pages of Malay States, with roughly 100 stamps, primarily from the 1900s to 1920s, including: Kedah, Johore, Perak, etc. We note a number of C.T.O. postmarks in the North Borneo, along with a good number of c.d.s. postmarks (including a few sock on the nose). A good lot for the specialist, and we suggest in-person viewing to better appreciate the contents, as our online photos only show a representation. Overall, fine to very fine. (Image)
