Collection/Accumulation of Mint and Used Middle Eastern Countries, consisting of thousands of stamps in 5 binders and a stockbook. The strength of the group is a stockbook and binder of primarily used Egypt, ranging from 1867 to 1974. The binder is organized by Scott number (including Occupation and Air Mail stamps) and includes owner's catalogue value for most of the pages (c.v. for pages counted totaled $529), with highlights including Scott #s J10a used (c.v. $225) and NC23 (c.v. $115). The stockbook of Egypt is an accumulation of many hundreds of used which appear to be the owner's duplicates. The lot continues with a binder of few hundred mint and used Iran, ranging from 1903 to 1974, of note, Scott #448-463 (c.v. $35), along with a few hundred mint and used Iraq ranging from 1954-1963. Rounding out the lot is a mixture of mint and used (includes souvenir sheets with C.T.O.) from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Fujeira and Ajman State to name a few. An interesting lot that could be beneficial to a specialist and has topical possibilities. Online photos show a representative sample. Overall, fine. (Image)
