Mint Never Hinged Postage Lot, consisting of matched sets of plate blocks (still sealed from the Post Office), sheets (including two tagged 6c Christmas sheets with center blocks), souvenir sheets, multiples and single stamps from the 1970's-1980's. Face value was calculated from 8c to $5 only (we note the majority of stamps range from 8c to 17c, however we note roughly 40 matched plated block sets in the $1 to $2 face range). This lot includes roughly 88 low value booklets ($1 and under), and these were not included in the total face value. Tagging, varieties and paper types of values under 8c have mostly been identified by the owner and organized into envelopes. A very clean lot. (Image)

Mostly Mint Collection in 5 Jam-Packed Binders, 1897 to 2015, consisting of thousands of stamps on black Vario-style stock sheets, National album pages (these stamps are mostly hinged) and in sheet protectors. From the start to the 1970s, the contents are quite sparse and almost all are used. From the 1980s on, the contents are mint hinged or MNH. We noted booklets (mostly taped or hinged to the pages, but not affecting the stamps from our observation), souvenir sheets, full panes and mini-sheets of many of the issues in the period, plus a few plate blocks here and there. We counted the face value of mint in denominations 15c from 1980 and later to be $1,985, with the breakdown shown in the online photos. There appears to be a high level of completion, with the later years largely populated by die-cut stamps, likely from quarterly packs or annual collections. Advance viewers might expect to find some varieties. In addition, we saw more than 20 Federal Wildlife Habitat stamps in their original booklets in the range of 1986 to 2009, with a few years missing and some duplication. Also included are 3 sparsely-filled albums and about 20 black stock sheets of miscellaneous worldwide. Our photos provide a very minor glimpse of the contents of this clean, fine to very fine collection that would be an excellent start to a good Canadian collection or for immediate use by a postage user or reseller.
