Mainly USA Literature Lot (Consignment Remainder) - 8 Books - A consignment remainder of 8 different books as follows: (1) "Michigan Postal Markings" 1955, Maurice Cole signed 1955 edition, 193 pgs with photos and illustrations. Covers Michigan stampless covers, auxiliary markings, town marks, cancellations, period postmarks, Post Offices, County and Postmaster Postmarks, plus more. Good condition with light edge wear; (2) "The Yucatan Affair, The Work of Roaoul Ch. de Thuin, Philatelic Counterfeiter", published by APS in 1974, James Chemi, Editor. Country sections compiled by a variety of specialist editorial staff. A detailed examination of this prolific counterfeiter's work that resulted in a decades long career of fleecing collectors. Lettering on spine almost gone but otherwise the book is in excellent condition. Dust cover with edge wear; (3) "History of Letter Post Communications Between the United States and Europe 1845-1875" George Hargest, 1975 in good condition; (4) "United States Letter Rates to Foreign Destinations 1847 to GPU-UPU" Charles Starnes, 1982. Great reference information with detailed, by country, examples and photos, in very good condition. (5) "United States Stampless Cover Catalog", 1952 ed., by Konwiser, F-VF condition; (6) "Chicago Postal History" by Karlen, F-VF condition; (7) "Collecting Untied States Covers and Postal History" by Weiss, Jr., F-VF condition; and lastly (8) Linn's handbook titled "United States Postal History Sampler" by Graham, F-VF condition.
