ALBUM DE FAC-SIMILIES (1928) - A printed album produced by the L'UNION PHILATELIQUE DE GENEVE to display the work of Fournier, with seventeen introduction pages (inc a preface by Serrane, and pages by E Dienna, Fred Melville & Heinrich Kohler). These are followed by examples of the Fournier forgeries on 163 pages (missing a further 8 pages - mainly photographs of stamps sold by forgers other than Fournier) inc. pages of cancellations and overprints. The collection includes a good number of proofs and multiples. Some slight damage to the cover and a number are stuck down. A lesser (reduced by a further 13 pages) complete example sold for £950 in our Dec. 2016 sale. (Image)
