1941, Jugoslavian Red Cross Set of 1940, overprinted "Alto Commissario per la Provincia di Lubiana" tied by LUBIANA 7.VI.41 to letter addressed to Latisana (Provinz Udine). Interessing framed L2 "Francobolli applicati dal mittente" (stamps applied by the sender) alongside. Vertical fold thru the letter not touching the stamps, small creases and tears, some stains on the reverse (as well as arrival post marks). Nice little letter from the first period of the Italian occupation of Ljublajna before the regular Italian stamps became available. Only 1106 sets were overprinted. (Image)
