RARE PINK "INSURED." LABEL ON RARE H2-SIZE REGD. ENV. EX "C.E.F." TO G.B.; Remarkable 18 Apr. 1901 usage of the rare H2-size HK 10c regd. env. (several red wax seals removed around the edges) to GB endorsed as being from "Postmaster, Base Office, C.E.F." and uprated with four HK 10c Blue stamps tied by v. fine HK cds's; the high rate due to the endorsement "Insured for Two Pounds or Fifty Francs" on the front and also having a rare pink HK PO "INSURED." label on the front beside the almost equally rare heavily boxed "R/HONG-KONG G.P.O./No." mark (not recorded by Webb; only recorded Oct. 1898 to Aug. 1901 by Proud; RL6, p.218). USED K-SIZE REGISTERED ENVELOPE (RARE INSURANCE CHANGE TYPE) - KEVII 50c TO DUTCH EAST INDIES; 11 Mar. 1905 commercial usage of this very large (K size; with rare overprint in black for increased Insurance charges, Type B) registered envelope (from the Dutch consulate in HK; some creasing as usual for these K-size covers) to Batavia (the Governor General of the Dutch East Indies) cancelled by partly fine "REGISTERED/HONG-KONG" cds's (the KEVII 50c a little rubbed) with very fine small "R/HONG-KONG" boxed d.s. on the front.
