ARTISTS: 'Adventure in Watercolour' by Kenneth Macqueen (1948), 48pp hardbound limited edition Number "291" of 1100 inscribed & signed "Kenneth Macqueen", printed on deckle-edged Georgian paper with 17 colour-matched prints of Macqueen's watercolours (each 210x170mm) tipped-in, plus a photo of the artist, published by Legend Press (Sydney) for Australian Artist Editions. A very fine example of this rare & beautiful book, faults to the matching d/j. [Kenneth Robertson Macqueen trained in London & is regarded as one of Australias foremost pre-WWII watercolourists. In the 1930s, he was a foundation member of Sydney's Contemporary Group. (Image1)

He left for New Caledonia and the Solomon Islands but he and his crew were never seen again. A very early Port Phillip District legal document, pre-dating by 8 years the Supreme Court of Victoria.
