1865 cover from ADEN to Inverness, Scotland franked with India 1865 4a. green, 2a. orange and 8p. purple each cancelled by Aden numeral "124", framed "INDIA PAID" alongside, endorsed 'Camp Aden/5th Dec 1865' and 'via Marseilles', backstamped with "ADEN/DE 5/65" cds and Inverness '23 Dec.' arrival cds. The 8p. with perf faults at right (affixed beyond the edge at right) and 4a. with a little tear between perfs at left, cover with tears into back-flap by opening, but still a fine cover and a most attractive tri-colour franking. 1879 Insufficiently franked cover from Sialkot to Rome, Italy via Bombay, Aden and Pescara, franked by East India 1a. brown tied by "SIALKOT/DEC 2"-"L-3" duplex, circled "T" alongside, respective transit and '11. Jan. 80' arrival cds on the reverse, and with Italian postage due stamps 40c. and 4x 2c. all tied at arrival by "ROMA/11/1 -80" cds. Few traces of usage but still fine. 1911 The special circled cachet "FIRST AERIAL POST/U.P. EXHIBITION ALLAHABAD 1911" in BLACK on India KEVII. postal stationery card ¼a. brown, without address but with the "ALLAHABAD/18 FE./11" cds in black alongside, and on the reverse with a respective note "With the founders/compliments/W Windham/The only ones done in black" by the famous British aviation pioneer Walter Windham, the organizer of this first aerial post carried by pilot H. Pequet from Allahabad to Naini, especially pointing out the cachet in black. A VERY RARE USAGE OF THIS CACHET IN BLACK.
