Copper watermark bitson small pieces of dandy roll comprising Victorian V/Crown, Queensland Crown/Q, NSW Small Crown/A, Australian Crown/A Second Wmk & Third Wmk, and GB Crown/GvR, all recessed in a single cardboard mount (254x128mm) with 'EDWIN AMIES & SON/MAIDSTONE' h/s in rosine on the reverse, the mount a bit soiled. [Edwin Amies & Son is still in business in Maidstone (Kent). They are manufacturers, especially of paper-making machinery]

Covers & Postal Stationery group noted NSW 1852 with 2d Laureate tied numeral '56' of Singleton and 1854 with 1d Laureate pair and 'ALBURY' crowned oval arrival, Queensland 1912 registered with early 'R/STANTHORPE' red & black label, a few PPCs, advertising covers, TPO cancels and other postmark interest, plenty of unused postal stationery, some Tatts mail, condition variable.

'List of Post and Telegraph Offices' published by the Postmaster-General's Department (1963), minor cover staining but internally very fine. A fantastic official source for postmark collectors.
1937 KGV 2/- (CofA 2d red) Black/Green cover inscribed '...IN MOST MONEY ORDER POST OFFICES' with 'PASS BOOKS' on the inside front cover ACSC #B48B, the stamps with trivial blemishes, the cover as fresh-as-a-daisy, Cat $500.
1938-41 2/- (KGVI 2d Die II) with the Watermark Inverted ACSC #B51ba, a couple of trivial cover blemishes; and 1942 2/6d (2½d) #B53A, superb; Cat $650.

1949 KGVI 2/6d (2½d scarlet) block of 8 booklet front-covers (printed both sides) BW #B55(PP) from the upper-left of the sheet, some minor defects that hardly detract, Cat $1000+.
1989 Non-Olympic Sports 39c Fishing as ACSC #B165 but Miscut at an Angle resulting in three upper units with Part-Inscriptions Omitted and three lower units with Additional Part-Inscriptions, unmounted. A striking error. Unrecorded in the ACSC.
PROOF OVERPRINTS - THIN TYPE: Large piece (128x167mm) with 24 impressions (4x6) from the lower-right of the right-hand pane [Rows 5/10 Pos 5 to 8] in red including Stop after 'JAPAN.' [Row 5 Pos 5], 'B' in Wrong Font (Smaller 'B') [Row 7 Pos 6] & the unlisted Broken 'C' [Row 10 Pos 8], small paper inclusions, Cat $2600+. Ex Sybrand Bakker. [NB: Row 9 Pos 7 shows the '6' intact, which means that the unlisted Broken '6' variety occurred later due to wear]

1945 commercial air cover with superb woodcut 'HMAS HOBART/2 SEPT/1945/TOKYO JAPAN' Surrender Day cachet in magenta, KGVI 3d cancelled on arrival at Sydney, minor blemishes.
