AN EXTREMELY RARE USED EXAMPLE OF THE 1918 KGV ½D ISSUE WITH THIN "½" AT RIGHT FROM THE SMALL MAY 1918 PRINTING - A GREAT AUSTRALIAN RARITY.

It is not known why Harrison undertook the retouch which led to the thin "½" variety. Very few examples of this variety are known. A census of known examples as of 1999 show that only nine used examples have been recorded. One of which is in the Royal Collection.
