Mint and Used Collections of Antigua and Barbuda, 1863 to 1980, on older album pages in a binder. Some of the better items we encountered include #s 2 (mint c.v. $135), 13 (mint c.v. $225), 15 (mint c.v. $400), 28 (mint c.v. $95). This collection is mostly mint and includes many complete definitive sets, with the period 1932 to 1970 basically complete by album illustration. In some instances there is also a used example of a given issue under the mint one. Included also is a Barbuda collection which we estimate to be 70% complete from 1968 to 1980 with more modern material for both countries at the back of the binder housed in numerous 102 cards. Volume I is something between a collection and an accumulation with very good variety and includes Roos and George V issues as well as numerous high denominations. Mint and Used Collection, 1852 to 2006, on older album pages in a binder. This group is comprised of two or more collections spliced together in a fairly even split of mint and used and is fairly complete from about the 1920s to the 1970s. There is much in the way of better stamps included, such as #s 3 (used c.v. $375), 6 (mint c.v. $110), 9 (used c.v. $95) and 126 (mint c.v. $125), with plenty more in the $10 to $50 range. Also included are numerous extras, such as shades, souvenir sheets, gutter pairs as well as date inscription, watermark and overprint varieties. There is a strong representation of the Seal of the Colony issues. We also noted a number of well centered postmarks, especially in the classics. The mint stamps tend to be hinged, however there are some never hinged issues interspersed from the 1970s period through to the end of the collection. With stamps stacked on top of one another in mounts, there is value in this collection which may not be apparent at a casual glance. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)

The British Antarctic Territory collection includes better mint sets, such as #s 1-15, 16-19, 39-42, 45a-59a, 64-67, 72-75 and 102-116. The Falkland Islands Dependencies portion is complete by main catalogue number from 1L19 to 1L75. The South Georgia is near complete in mint from #1 to 50. British Atlantic Ocean Countries; with Ascension, St. Helena and Tristan da Cunha, 1873 to 1989. Each country is in it's own binder with a mix of old time album pages plus a few stock sheets. The Ascension is a mix of mint hinged and used and includes #21 (mint c.v. $110), 33-36 (mint c.v. $58), and a well populated George VI 40/49 cataloguing in the hundreds of dollars. There is also a strong representation in the period 1946 to 1970. The St. Helena is also a mix of mint hinged and used and includes numerous Victoria heads plus additional shades as well as mint and used examples of the same issue in some instances. Carrying on with St. Helena from Edward VII to about 1970, the collection is fairly full with numerous complete sets. Catalogue value to the end of George VI is over $2,900, as least expensive. The Tristan da Cunha collection is also a mix of mint hinged and used and is fairly complete to about 1970. In addition there is a double-sided stock page filled with #s 157 / 380 in mint never hinged complete sets with an old catalogue value of $118. The total catalogue value to the end of George VI for all three countries is at least $3,800, with many complete Elizabethan sets following that. These collections compliment one another well and contain a great deal of better material. Overall condition is fine to very fine. (Image)
