1858, Complete folded superb entire letter bearing 1 Penny blue in fresh colour with wide margins all around tied by numeral "1" and b/s "BARBADOS JA 27 1858" + red London-transit cds "7 Feb 1858" to Farina in Cologne, Prussia with arrival "COELN 18.2." and prussian taxation "12" Sgr.

1942 (c.) BANTAM ESSAY: King Edward VIII. essay 3p. slate, on Multiple Star watermarked paper, Perf 14, lower sheet marginal horizontal strip of 4, the lower half of a sheetlet of 8, mint lightly hinged with large part original gum, fresh and fine. This essay was an attempt, by India Security Press, Nasik, to issue stamps of reduced size due to the shortage of paper during WWII, following the South African 'Bantams' of small size, but this idea was finally given up when the hostillities ceased in Europe. AN ATTRACTIVE MULTIPLE OF THE VERY RARE BANTAM ESSAY. B.P.A. certificate (2011)

1818 SERAMPORE, DANISH SETTLEMENT: Entire folded letter from Salisbury, England to the Danish-German Mission in SERAMPORE, Danish Settlement in India, via London and per steamer "Carron", bearing a fine strike of "CROWN INDIA PACKET LETTER/18 AU 18/1818" datestamp on front, further small London cds and the scarce framed Calcutta "KING'S POST/Co's INLd. do./(23rd May) 181(9)" h/s (Giles SR7) + add. in m/s on the reverse. Some parts of the letter have been separated during the last 200 years but still included (please, handle with care), fine so far. A RARE EARLY LETTER TO THE DANISH SETTLEMENT IN INDIA WHEN SERAMPORE WAS EX-TERRITORIAL.

1857, 1d. black, vertical pair and single stamp 4d. pale blue, all fesh colour and close to mainly full margins, attractive 6d. franking on cover oblit. by numeral "14" and oval "POST OFFICE / ALBANY / WESTERN AUSTRALIA" alongside, addressed to Glasgow and ms. rated "6", red London receiver "15MR 57" and Glasgow arrival "MR 16 57" on reverse. Certificates RPS (1958) and BPA (2010). A most attractive and rare franking of 1st issue!
