1858 Stockton, California to Switzerland Redirected Cover, franked with 3x green 10c Washingtons, two 1c blue Franklins and a 3c pink Washington (damaged), all perforated and totaling 35c. Addressed to "Locarno", "Swizzerland", then crossed out and re-directed. Many other postmarks and /or notations, rates on front. Back has a Basel re-directional cds, a Logano cds dated June 1858, and a few other boxed postmarks. Stockton was incorporated only 8 years prior to this, in 1850.
