Includes 1817 front to Middleham with "MISSENT/TO YORK" mark, 1835 poster listing horses' pedigrees in the 'North Riding Stakes', range of covers from 1804 onwards with various types of "YORK 196" mileage marks, good ranges of various York c.d.s. marks, etc. Lot also includes a collection of twenty 1865 'love letters' with background info re the correspondents.
