Cat No:163a

1905-12 Crown/A Irregular Compound Perfs 5d olive-green SG 163a Perf 12½x11x12½x12½, undercatalogued at £1800. Believed to be unique. Chris Ceremuga Certificate (2014, at which time the stamp was unlisted in Gibbons) states "Genuine in all respects. Great rarity, this being the only example known to me". [The ACSC states in a footnote "...noted in the philatelic literature in 1915, and a used pair [was] offered at auction in 1947. No examples have been seen in recent times..." This is the discovery stamp on which the Gibbons listing is based. It was acquired at a Sydney auction in 2015 for $6900, about double the catalogue value]
