GREAT BRITAIN, 1926 Cape Town to London by Alan Cobham, oversized unfranked privately carried envelope with printed address to Stuttaford & Co in London, ms. "CAPE TOWN TO LONDON FLIGHT 1926" and "Received at Croydon Aerodrome Sat March 31st at 4:20 PM S.L. Elliott", listing of the flight's stops along the left edge and cover is signed by pilot Alan Cobham, engineer Arthur B Elliott and documentary photographer Basil Emmott, newspaper cutout of flight route affixed on back of envelope, central vertical fold and some small tone spots, still Fine and rare, few pieces of collateral accompany incl newspaper clippings and letter on Stuttafords Stores letterhead commenting on the coverrnArthur B Elliott was Cobham's engineer on several flights and while on another survey flight to Australia with Cobham in June of 1926, Elliott was shot in mid-air near Basra by a wandering nomad and later succumbed to his wound.
