1859, 1 s. purple-slate with perforations on 2 sides, in combination with 1 d. rose-red in horizontal pair, pin-perf. 13½-14, tied by "1" with adjacent crowned circle "PAID AT TRINIDAD" on yellow envelope to Michelstadt in Germany with French transit mark on front and German transit and arrival marks on reverse. The entire is rated in front "1/1" in red crayon and further (German) markin in blue crayon; the left 1 d. light bend, otherwise fine and fresh.
