1852 (Sept): Provisional Issue, Lithographed (1 d.) blue on yellowish paper, a fine used example with large margins for this stamp, used on November 1852 entire letter to Greenock, Scotland lightly tied by '1' numeral obliterator in black. Reverse with London transit in red and Greenock arrival cds (Dec 24) with manuscript '1s.' charge at left. Minor ironed file folds but a lovely example of this rare stamp on a most attractive letter.
