Datelined folded letter bearing G.B. 1841, 1d red brown, plate 30 (3), huge margins to touched, tied by black Maltese cross, red "Manchester, MY 18, 1843" backstamp, manuscript "1/-" due rating for packet, carried by Cunard Line Columbia from Liverpool to Halifax with arrival backstamp; light fold toning, F.-V.F., A scarce transatlantic use with G.B. 1841 1d red brown prepaying the British inland postage., with 1992 R.P.S.L. certificate.
