1871-78 Sidefaces 'TAS'-in-Bars Watermark 1d salmon Perf 12 SG 150 (unlisted shade) marginal block of 10 (2x5) from right-hand side of sheet, minor perf separation above lower-right unit, couple of tiny aging marks in margin only, stamps fine & unmounted, Cat £1400+ for cheapest listed shade mounted. 1891 Surcharge 'd./2½' on 9d pale blue Overprint Double One Inverted SG 168a, remarkably well centred, characteristic rough perfs, large-part o.g., Cat £700.
1899-1900 Pictorials De La Rue Printing 2½d indigo SG 232 Partly Imperforate at Right due to diagonal paper fold which unusually has not affected the perforations at top, a couple of minor blemishes, unused without gum. Ex Dr Owen Ingles. [Very few production errors are known from the De La Rue printings. Gary Diffen's 'Australian Colonies Errors' did not feature anything similar.]
1904 Surcharge '1½d.' on Tablet 5d with the Surcharge Significantly Misplaced Horizontally corner block of 4 from the L/R of the sheet with Plate Number '1', very lightly mounted. Unlisted in the ACSC.
1905-11 Electrotype Crown/A 1d red 'JBC' Monogram single ACSC T14zc, dubious cancel, ridiculously undercatalogued at $25 (2004); unpriced used. [See also Lot 297889]
1905-11 Pictorials Typographed Crown/A 3d brown vertical pair from L/R corner of sheet Mixed Perf 12½ and 11 ACSC T51 (SG 253c) perforated 12½ all around and subsequently re-perforated Perf 11 at right creating Irregular Compound Perf 12½x11x12½x12½ with Double Perforations At Right, full margins at right & base, upper unit & lower margin with hinge remainders, lower unit unmounted, couple of minor aging marks in margins, Cat $1200++ (£950++) for mounted. Gary Diffen's block of four with two units Mixed Perf - stated to be two of "ten examples known" - sold for £540 at auction on 1.10.2020. Ex Dr Owen Ingles.
