'POSTAGE STAMPS OF TASMANIA' presentation sheet for 1891 UPU distribution with 28 stamps mounted in place (apparently missing the 1871 3d Sideface) mostly overprinted 'REPRINT' (all 'No Dot' after) or 'SPECIMEN', the Couriers 1d & 4d printed from defaced plates without overprint, the Postal Fiscals St George & Dragon imperforate (the 3d with 'REPRINT' overprint inverted), the Sidefaces 'd./2½' on 9d blue imperforate & not overprinted, a couple with perforation or other faults, the sheet folded clear of the stamps (heavily so in parts; minor closed edge tears). 1853 'Regulations for the Guidance of the Post Office Department under the [Post Office Act, 1853]' original documents of 25.10.1853 & 1.11.1853 (the date the Couriers were issued) addressing the issuing of the new stamps, the method for cancelling same & the requirement to write the office name on the letter "until Stamps are provided with moveable dates", postage rates, list of officers entitled to the franking privilege, various forms, etc, the pages removed from the original binding, the last leaf with a repaired tear otherwise very fine. Important & instructive.

The ACSC states "Three mint examples have been seen with single line perf 12.4 all round, with an additional line of perf 11 at left." (our emphasis; this item shows the Perf 11 at base).
