Over-annotated collection with Courier 4d x7, Large Star 1d 2d x3 & 4d x6, No Wmk 1d pair (a very scarce multiple), 2d x2 & 4d x3 including a pair plus 4d plate proof in very pale blue, Numeral Wmks selection mostly with fiscal cancels but including 2d grey-green mint with large-part o.g., 'TASMANIA' Perkins Bacon 6d & 1/- pairs and Hobart Printings shades including 6d reddish mauve, the condition very mixed but most of those mentioned are very fine; also 1863-71 Experimental Perforations with a few scarcer stamps with fiscal cancels & in rather mixed condition. [Includes a very fine map dated 1841 by Thomas Kelly (London)]

Chalons with Double Prints comprising Imperf 1d 2d & 4d (an enormous stamp) and Perf 1d x3 & 1/-, the first two appear to be unused. Gibbons used to list these often striking varieties. However, they have been deleted from recent editions. Offered "as is", with no reserve.

Collection with many highly catalogued imperfs in very mixed condition including Courier 1d & 4d x2, Chalons with Large Star 1d pair (cut-into at base) & 2d, a few others noted as unused but questionable, some Experimental Separations - none with certificates - including Pin Perf 19 6d, an apparently mint Perf 10 2d yellow-green & a stained Perf 10x12 4d, 1/- pair Imperf Between with fiscal cancel (faked perfs?), a few Double Prints and Double Perfs, etc, very mixed condition. Close inspection highly recommended.

Selection of blocks etc including 1871-91 Chalons 6d corner block of 25 with straight-edge at top, superb with full unmounted o.g., Cat £1250++ as mounted singles; Tablets ½d panes of 60 x2 & a complete sheet of 120, 2½d Plate Number '1' blocks of 24 (6x4) x2 & 5d block of 18 (6x3), '1½d' on 5d corner block of 30 (6x5), 1903 V/Crown 1/- Plate Number '1' blocks of 4 & 8 (4x2), etc, generally very fine with most units being unmounted.

1853 CouriersONE PENNY: 1d group comprising Early Printings SG 1 x2 and Later Printings SG 3 x3 (two with fragments of the CW Coard Imprint) and SG 4, all with full margins & complete outer framelines, numeral cancels of variable quality, Cat £8200. BPA Certificates (1959) for the first two, as SG 1 & 2, which is befuddling because they are obviously the same shade & they have consecutive certificate numbers!

1853 Couriers 4d bright brownish orange plate proof on Vertically Laid Paper, cut-to-shape just clear of the design, a couple of thin spots, Cat £11,000: see footnote below SG 12.
1855 London Printings Large Star 4d blue SG 18 block of 6 (3x2), margins in places, the upper units affected by ironed-out creases, light BN cancels, Cat £780+. A rare multiple. [John Bell's Census of largest-recorded multiples noted one block of 9 - a second was sold at the Prestige auction of 30.4.2011 for $4370 - and two blocks of 6]
1857-67 Double-Lined Numeral Watermarks 2d yellow-green SG 32 horizontal pair, margins good to large with traces of two adjoining units, minor corner crease at U/R otherwise superb, light but obvious BN '6' of Bothwell, Cat £240+. BPA Certificate (2018).
1857-67 Double-Lined Numeral Watermarks 4d blue SG 37 horizontal strip of 5, two units with full margins, the others just shaved at the top, light BN '52' cancels of Launcestin, Cat £130++. A very scarce & attractive multiple.
