SAINT-VINCENT despatch cds (Dec 11) in black, circular red 'PD' and 'London / Paid' transit cds (Jan 15, 1866) in red on front with manuscript British '1/2d.' credit in red crayon. 1875/78: 1 s. vermilion, perf. 11-12½ x 15, a fine example in a vivid shade used on 1879 mourning envelope to Hastings, Sussex neatly tied in transit by bold strike of "GB / 40c." Anglo-French Accountancy marking in black. ST. VINCENT cds of despatch at left (Feb 23) and reverse, part flap missing, with Hastings arrival (March 16). A charming and scarce cover. Cert.
