1894 Tannenberg stamp-size preliminary artwork for proposed 2½d & 5d designs on art paper recessed in card mount (185x138mm) endorsed "Chimborazo" (Maximilian Tannenberg's nom de plume) with faint pencil note "Subject to the word Revenue being inserted". [The final designs were quite different but owe much to this design concept. In the end, both 'POSTAGE' & 'REVENUE' were omitted from the designs]
