ST CHRISTOPHER: 1856-88 mint (some without gum) and used collection (116 plus Revenues, forerunners etc) on leaves. We note 1828 outer wrapper with small fleuron on reverse (good strike but split), two examples of GB 6d (SG Z4) with full A12 cancels, one with perfs at right clipped; a good range of the 1870-82 perf 12½ values including SG 1a unused, perf 14 CC 2½d brown unused and sound used, and useful CA values with sheets of the ½d and 1d carmine; surcharges with ½d inverted on half 1d unused, and inverted on a used pair of adjacent bisects; 4d on 6d without stop mint, and unused with partial double surcharge. Revenues used for postage with SG R2 part o.g., and Revenues with mint sheet of twelve Nevis SG F3 handstamped for St Christopher in violet (faults), an interesting lot worth close inspection; Est £400-£450 (Image)
