BOER WAR 1902 cover with the original letter sent by G. A. Scott No. 654, Canadian Mounted Rifles, written from Kitchener's Kopje & cancelled Newcastle MR.7.02. The letter gives an account of his voyage to South Africa and trip up to Newcastle. He mentions that the rest of the regiment are in quarantine as they had smallpox on the ship out from Canada.
