1903 (Jun.) OVERPRINT VARIETIES: Mint collection on album pages displaying the two different varieties of the "BRITISH/SOMALILAND" opt. settings i.e. "BRITISH" 10mm long (type a) and 10.5mm long (type b). The type b represented by all values up to 8a. Also, varieties of the missing second "I" in "BRIT SH". The five values to 3a (SG 1a/5a) present in pairs, one stamp of each pair showing either a small 'dot' or 'apostrophe' in place of the second "I". INDIA USED IN SOMALILAND: QV India Postal Stationery card surcharged "ONE ANNA" sent from Zaila to Berlin. Cancelled with Bombay "B" (Proud K1) alongside Zaila c.d.s. of 14 Apr. 1895. Also present Aden transit mark of 17 Apr. and Berlin receiving mark dated 29 Apr. Card is addressed to Severin Senator (now Schindler), manufacturers of lifts & lighting equipment. Also, 20 Feb. 1900 large piece (back of cover) from Zaila to Hull, bearing block of four QV India 3 pies carminne (SG 111) cancelled by two strikes of Bombay "B" accompanied by Zaila B.O. c.d.s. type D.2. 1903 (Jun.) OVERPRINT VARIETY "BRIT SH": ½a green in left marginal block of six with stamp in position R.5/1 showing variety completely missing 2nd "I" in "BRITISH", SG 1a. Top pair only mounted, not affecting the error stamp. Also, 2a pale violet in left marginal block of ten with stamp in position R.5/1 showing same variety, SG 3a.
