1894 defective cover to New Zealand with light but very fine strike of the 'Saved from wreck of the/WAIRARAPA' cachet in violet and the stamps washed-off leaving a small-part of the Qld cds, superb transit b/s 'NZ/RPO-WN' & 'NZ/RPO-C' cds and light 'TEMUKA' arrival b/s, the flap missing. Just how a disaster cover shoule look!
