1878 (Jan 11) cover to France "Via Suez" with rare three-colour franking of 1d vermilion, 4d yellow & 6d apple-green tied by 'QL'-in-Rays of Brisbane (cds below), 'PARIS A RENNES/12/MARS/78/ B ' transit b/s & 'ST-SERVAN/ILLE ST VILLAINE' arrival b/s, a few faults.

POSTMARKS: Registered covers from Camp Hill (1932), Dulbolla (1925), Eight Mile Plains (1928), Kuraby (1935, mss registration endorsement), Milmerran (1917), Russell Island (1948), Shinfield (1938, mss registration endorsement), etc, group of 1960s covers with provisional lables, also loose labels including black/blue & 'Air Force PO' types, noted 'Chevron Island' block of 25; then about 200 postmarks on piece, condition variable but many fine.

Accumulation with lots of Small Chalons including 4d yellow x2, 4d lilac x3, 6d green shades x24 & a very scarce 1/- violet strip of 3, array of Sideface issues including Lined Background 4d yellow mint pair, etc, also more than 100 commercial perfins with values to 4d yellow, condition variable.

1860 Large Star Imperf 1d carmine-rose SG 1 horizontal pair, deep colour, margins close to large with full outer framelines, ironed-out horizontal crease & minor toning, Rays '23' cancels (Bernie Manning rated RRRR) of Budgeworgorai, Cat £1600+. An extremely rare multiple. Budgeworgorai opened 1.9.1861; replaced by Roma 1/1/1864.
RAILWAY STAMPS: c.1950s Russell & Sons Dairy Engineers (Toowoomba) complete parcel tag to Warwick with 1d blue & 10d purple both inscribed 'TOOWOOMBA' & Railway Numeral '55' (?) cancels. A scarce survivor.
