Box with a mostly unused array, about half are QEII issues but the earlier items include Fullface 1d x4 (three used), Kangaroo 1d x12 (mostly used), Sideface 1d x7 (six used), 1917 'REPLY' Barred-Out x2 (both used), 2d scarlet (used), then 1925 Rounded Perfs 1½d x2 (one CTO) & Straight-Line Perfs, KGVI 2d on Cream x7 (four used) & on Grey x5, 3½d with 'SPECIMEN' Overprint, 5d 'AUTOMATIC POST OFFICE' x2 (one CTO & addressed), etc, condition of the earlier material is variable but most are fine to very fine.

Non-scenic issues including KGVI 2d with printed address & advice for Mercantile Mutual Insurance, QEII 3½d with FDI cancel, 3½d 4d & 5d each with 'SPECIMEN' Overprint in red, 5d with Royal Agricultual Show overprint CTO x2 (one addressed), 4c with 'SPECIMEN' & with 'SPECIMEN ONLY' Handstamps, & a few others, mostly fine to very fine unused.

1930-36 KGV Non-Scenic Issues 1½d red paper trials on rough brownish stock - unissued thus - & on off-white stock as issued, each stuck except at lower-right where the corners have been folded-back to show the inside colour, endorsed "A" & "D" respectively ACSC #LC61(P)1 & 2, Cat $1000. The only recorded examples.

1937-42 KGVI 2d red Perf 13½ on Cream with diagonal 'SPECIMEN' Handstamp in violet, minor blemishes. Unlisted. [The ACSC states that two such cards Perf 11¾ are recorded. We query if this is an error for Perf 13½]
1949 New Portrait 2½d red with 134mm Between the Vertical Perforations as ACSC #LC73 but with the Perforations Grossly Misplaced resulting in the Arms & Stamp at the Base of the Card, unused. A dramatic & unlisted error.
1951-59 Issues ACSC #LC75 76 81 83 & 84 each with 'SPECIMEN' Overprint plus 4c with 'SPECIMEN' Handstamp x2 or 'SPECIMEN ONLY' Handstamp, and Registration Envelope 24c with 'SPECIMEN ONLY' Handstamp, Cat $1125.

1966-80 QEII Issues '20c' on 18c Imperforate ACSC #LC97b, unused. [20 examples were purchased at Malvern (Vic) PO in -.2.1980. All had "blind perforations" that do not penetrate the thin card]
1966-80 QEII Issues '20c' on 18c with Red Printing (the stamp) Completely Omitted ACSC #97c, unused, Cat $600. [At least two examples of this ultimate Missing Colour are recorded]
STAMPED TO ORDER ISSUES: c.1920 Star 1½d brown with printed address for WH Burford & Sons (Adelaide) ACSC #LCS4A front only with advertising on the reverse for soap, candles etc, central fold & small repaired tear at the top, Cat $1500. Rare. [The ACSC does not make it clear that the price is for a front only but considering that the other contemporary issues are priced at $3000 each this does seem to be an obvious conclusion]
