1954 Plane & Globe 10d Aerogramme ACSC #A7 to Holland with Brisbane 'MAR 7/1954' machine cancel, carried on the ill-fated BOAC Lockheed L-749A Constellation which crashed on approach to Singapore's Kallang airport killing 33 of the 40 passengers and crew, violet 'SALVAGED MAIL/AIRCRAFT CRASH/SINGAPORE 13.3.1954' cachet on face, singed edges & some water damage as to be expected.

1966 V-Jet 10d Aerogramme ACSC #A23 to USA with printed letterhead for Australian Gem Trading Co inside and typed letter notifying shipments sent, used after introduction of Decimal Currency with combination franking QEII 1c brown tied Melbourne '1 OCT/1966' machine cancel with 'SUPPORT/LORD MAJOR'S/HOSPITAL/APPEAL' slogan, fine condition. Pre-Decimal stamps and stationery remained valid for use for two years after the introduction of Decimal Currency, however, 9d converted to 8c only thus requiring the added franking to pay the new 9c Aerogramme rate.
