The message states "...I am looking forward to the day when I will be able to write you a descent [sic] letter..." [Makeshift postcards are a highly significant element of the Gallipoli Story. They are recorded from between 29.5.1915 & 3.8.1915 only. It is estimated that only some 25 exist from New Zealanders.
