1940, 15. October, commercial letter from Pitcairn with New Zealand censor to Erland Ripa of Swedala in Sweden. Mr Ripa had travelled the Pacific Region and thus had contacts to maintain a correspondence even in the most difficult times. We are unaware of any other war time mail from Pitcairn Island to destinations outside the Commonwealth. In any case a very rare cover. (Image)
