POSTAL HISTORY: 1670 pair of early letters from Apley Castle, Stockton, Bridgnorth dated 30th April and 16th May respectively addressed to an MP in London each charged '3' in manuscript bearing fine strikes of London Bishop marks on reverse with the postal charge being cancelled for both by the London Inspector's initials.
