A very scarce make-up of the 1/6d rate. [Endorsed on the flap "Frm MK Abel/Kwato/Samarai". Kwato is an island in Milne Bay where, in 1891, Rev Charles Abel - the sender's grandfather (?) - founded a Mission Station]
POSTMARKS: 10-bar 'B.N.G' cancel of Kulumadau (Lee #60; rated E) two large-part inverted strikes on BNG 4d pair with 'WOODLARKS/NO24/{"03"}/BNG' cds (#59; rated F) alongside on registered piece. [Noted as having "RPS Cert 69683", now lost]
POSTMARKS: 'TAHIRA/30OC26/PAPUA' superb central strike on Bicolours ½d block of 4 on Spychiger cover, horizontal & vertical folds well clear of the stamps.
