1914-1921 Imperium Keyplate Issue, Watermarked Mul. Nigeria SG# 11b 10/- Green & Rose Red on Blue Green With Pale Olive Back King George V, 1914-1921 Multiple Crown CA Imperium Keyplate Issue, A VFNH Example. This is THE key stamp of the colony. It is very distinct and can be easily identified by the rose-red of the duty plate colour. Fine crackly NH gum that has natural gum bubbles. Accompanied by a 1950 Robson Lowe certificate for a multiple that this stamp originated from. A very rare stamp, especially in NH condition. Gibbons values this stamp at 1000 pounds, which at today's exchange rate is approximately $1700. NH material from this period normally sells for at least 100% more than for hinged material, and plate multiples tend to sell for at least the same premium over the price of single stamps. Based on these observations, our estimate of the value is $2000.
