1996 Health (Road Safety) Teddy Bear M/S as SG MS2002 but from the original printing with the Teddy Bear & Baby Facing Forwards and 'SC 439' at upper-left, unmounted, STC €12,000. See Gibbons' footnote. Unlisted by Campbell Paterson. [The design caused an outcry because the baby should have been facing the rear of the car to comply with safety regulations. The stamps were immediately withdrawn & redesigned. However, some were released "in error". According to our sources, the original M/Ss had been inadvertently distributed by the printers, Enschedé in the Netherlands, to their staff after the recall was announced. A similar item sold at our auction of 24.11.2018 for $3594]
