1850-51 Sydney Views Plate II (Clouds) Hard Greyish or Bluish Paper 1d dull carmine horizontal pair, the R/H unit with No Shading on the Hill SG 11-11b [R2/2-3], Sydney bars cancels clear of the variety, Cat £1250. A rare multiple. More heavily cancelled but of superior quality to the Ferrary/'Manwood' pair - the variety unit with ironed-out crease - that sold at our auction of 2.12.2021 for $2155.
1850-51 Sydney Views 3d yellow-green SG 39 or 42 [Pos 25], almost full margins, tied to rejoined piece by superb bars cancel, worn oval 'PAID SHIP LETTER/[crown]/AU*28/1850/SYDNEY' d/s in red at left, superb 'AUCKLAND/SP16/1850/ A /=NEW-ZEALAND=' arrival cds, Cat £300+. This would have been a marvellous cover.
1850-51 Sydney Views Bluish to Grey Wove Paper 3d yellow-green SG 42, good even margins, light BN '2' cancel of Parramatta, Cat £300. Superb! Sergio Sismondo Certificate (2002).
1854-59 Large Diadems 6d fawn as SG 93 with the Watermark Inverted & Reversed, margins close to large, a few minor blemishes & ironed-out horizontal crease, Cat £3000. A gift at our vendor's requested estimate.
1854-59 Large Diadems 8d imperforate plate proofs on unwatermarked paper in grey-blue (large margins, ungummed) & in yellow (margins close to large, a little soiled, large-part o.g.)
1856-60 Small Diadems 2d blue SG 112 or 114 horizontal strip of 5, the L/H & R/H units a little cut-into but the central strip of 3 is superb!, Rays '72' of Wee Waa & part '1d' h/s in red, Cat £70++. Strips larger than four units are rare.
1860-72 Perforated Diadems Perf 12 8d red-orange SG 151, a few short perfs & a little aged, unused, Cat £7500. Chris Ceremuga Certificate (2020) states "reperfed at top & at left". A rare stamp.
1867-72 De La Rue Designs 2d die proof from a new die in black on glazed card (93x61mm), 'Jan, 10. 1870' handstamp; 10d die proof in black on glazed card (93x61mm), 'May 1, 1867' & 'BEFORE HARDENING' handstamps, minor abrading around the impression; both with minor peripheral burnishing; and 10d die proof in black reduced to stamp-size & inserted with mica film in unglazed card with 'May 1, 1867' handstamp. 1888-89 Centennial of New South Wales imperforate colour trial singles on ungummed unwatermarked paper, comprising 4d vermilion (Captain Cook), 6d plum (Queen & Coat-of-Arms), 8d green (Lyrebird), 5/- deep green (Map) & 20/- claret (Governors), all with good to large margins, a few minor problems that don't detract from the very fine facial appearance.

1905-10 Wmk Small Crown/A ½d (both types) to 2/6d SG 333-349 complete including listed shades plus all values recorded with Perf 11½x11 (the ½d Type 2 in a pair with 'WAG' Monogram) and with Perf 11 including the rare 6d orange SG 342a (BW #N41; Cat $750), a few blemishes but generally fine to very fine with large-part o.g., Cat £1040 ($1900+). Ex Ron Butler and Gary Diffen.
OFFICIALS: Overprinted 'OS' 1890-91 Wmk '5/ ' over NSW Perf 10 5/- lilac SG O49 with Broken 'O', marginal example from the left of the sheet, a couple of minor tonespots, large-part o.g., Cat £650+. Ex Jim Johnstone.

SPECIMEN OVERPRINTS: 1891 Postage Dues ½d to 8d SG D1-7 with 'Specimen' or 'SPECIMEN' Overprint & each CTO with part-Barred Numeral cancel, the 4d with a small thin, large-part o.g. Very unusual.

RAILWAY STAMPS: 1960s-70s issues including used on parcel tags x29 with 2 or 3 stamps each and values to $4 apparently all inscribed 'Sydney', plus a range of loose stamps variously inscribed including 'Miranda', 'Regent's Park' & 'Sefton' stations, condition variable with most of those on tags also affixed by tape (issues with the gum not adhering properly?).
