Accumulation in stockbook from Sydney Views including 1d pair (cut-into at top) and 2d (creased) with numeral '100' of Baraba (RRR), Laureates 2d superb marginal single with numeral '66' and pair with numeral '57' of Raymond Terrace (RR), range of imperf Diadems to 1/- noted a few Moreton Bay cancels, then quantity later issues noted postally-used Stamp Duty 'TWO PENCE' on 1d brown pair, also surcharges and official overprints, some mint including 'NINEPENCE' on 10d block of 11, a few imprints & 'SPECIMEN' overprints including Stamp Duty 10/-, Postage Dues, Revenues noted 1870s 5/- used, apparently unchecked for perf & wmk varieties, plenty postmark interest, condition mixed but many fine.

1851-53 LaureatesFine Impressions on Blued Paper 2d chalky blue SG 53 horizontal strip of 4, margins close to large, shallow thin between the first two units & a couple of ironed-out creases, Cat £140++. Very scarce multiple.
1888-90 Centennial 1/- violet-brown Imperforate single as SG 258ca from the base of the sheet, large-part o.g., Cat £1400 for a pair. Ex "Carrington" (Mark Dankin). [Our vendor states that only this single & two pairs are recorded. Not to be confused with SG 312a, which turns up regularly]
REVENUES:Metropolitan Hospitals Contribution Fund Contributor's Book with MHCF 1/- red x7, 2/- blue x34 and bisected 6/- purple x6 all tied by pencil cancels, 'FA PARLE MPS PHC/CAMPSIE/DISPENSING CHEMIST' oval cachets in violet on face, some discolouration from rusty staples and a few of the adhesives are faulty.

Australian Naval Station group with 1895 cover with Governor's frank to "HMS Dart/Sydney", 1909 cover to "HMS Encounter" at Sydney with letter from a giddy schoolgirl, c.1880s over-exposed photo (soiled) endorsed on reverse "A Houghton/Seaman", 1909 soiled Dutch Indies PPC to GB with message headed "Mess HMS Pioneer/Australian Squad/Batavia Java", also PPCs of Naval Depot Garden Island x2, HMS 'Powerful' in Sydney Harbour, HMS 'Challenger' in Brisbane River, & a terrific shot of the crew "Australian Navy HMS Mildura" (unused).

1836 part-outer (front & back panels) to Ireland with 'POST PAID SHIP LTR/28JY28/1836/SYDNEY' d/s unusually in black, boxed 'INDIA LETTER/PORTSMOUTH' plus Dublin (?) ' 4M /29NO29/1836' b/s in red, very fine 'DROGHEDA/ PENNY POST' h/s on arrival, various rate endorsements, vertical fold & a bit soiled. Scarce destination.
1840 entire to "Club House/Sydney" with unusually fine strike of the undated 'LIVERPOOL/NSW'/ * ' handstamp & rated "5" in black for the inland postage, fine GPO arrival b/s of AU*20/1840, central filing fold well clear of the h/s.

POSTMARKS: 1880s Electric Telegraph Office cancels on Postage 6d violet including multiples, includes 'ELEC TEL DEPT/SYDNEY NSW', 'ET DEPT/CHECK BRANCH', 'ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH OFFICE/PARRAMATTA' etc, strikes rather mixed but a very scarce group.
