POSTAL HISTORY: 1940 commercial cover to Connecticut with 2½d tied by 'CABLE AND/WIRELESS/VIA/IMPERIAL - BASSETERRE/5JAN40/ST KITTS' datetsamp, 40mm 'ST KITTS/[crown]/PASSED BY CENSOR' cachet (apparently the original state of Burrows #CH2c; unrecorded thus so rated 10) in rosine, faint blemishes. Early WWII censorship.
