O.H.M.S. envelope (243x113mm.) from Naxalbari to Punkabaree, bearing 1a on 9p rose overprinted "POSTAL/SERVICE"cancelled by double-ring datestamp and showing arrival datestamp (24.9) below with a further strike on reverse alongside manuscript "This cover should be returned to the Sub Postmaster NX6 as for the misuse of the Postal Service Stamps..."; filing folds and other small imperfections. These Postal Service stamps which were issued only to be used on incoming foreign parcels to indicate the amount paid for customs.
