1860-63 De La Rue imperforate Imprimaturs on unwatermarked paper, 1d corner pair with Current Number 145, 2d corner pair with Current Number 146, 6d green marginal block of four with part imprint AGE SIX PE and brown streaky gum, 1s buff marginal block of four, all very fresh with brilliant colours, minor wrinkles, fine and a rare group.
1860-63 De La Rue set of archive Die Proofs, six values 1d to 1s, in black on glazed card. These probably emanate from the printers' record books supplied to Mauritius. Normal surface cracks associated with the glazing of the card.
1860-63 De La Rue no watermark 2d blue strip of three tied B53 ovals to cover to England paid "via Southampton" but sent by private vessel with red "Ship Letter" on face, penny-halfpenny credit below, MAURITIUS despatch cds JA 23 63 and Oxford arrival MR 13 on reverse, minor wrinkles and small cover split away from stamps, full of eye-appeal. 1863-72 Crown CC 4d rose pair used with 6d yellow green on folded cover to Saigon, Cochinchina "via Galle", stamps cancelled small B53 numerals, red "10d" accountancy on face, Mauritius despatch for JA 6 67 and Saigon arrival 17 MARS on reverse, a colourful and rare franking to an unusual destination.
