Malaysia, Straits Settlements, **/*/used classics - 1994. Highly specialised exhibition collection on the 19th century issues, assembled many decades ago with extensive and detailed write-up, with the vast majority of the more than 300 stamps being in mint multiples, the surcharges accompanied by diagrams of the settings, including 1884 3c on 32c blocks in different shades, 1892 1c on 8c orange block of 28 (separations), 1c on 12c brown-purple plate bock of 60, etc, as well as interesting postmark studies including Penang and Singapore cds types, Straits Settlements issues used in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, etc. Much of this impressive material was acquired from local archival holdings and toning is to be expected.
