Wainwright at Malaya Camp or c/o Japanese Red Cross in Tokyo with octagonal crown censor marks in red and Japanese chops, the last with framed “RETURNED IN UNDELIVERED MAILS/FROM TERRITORY FORMERLY OCCUPIED/BY JAPANESE FORCES”. (16 cards) Wainwright had been captured at the Fall of Singapore (photocopy of Royal Navy certificate of service included).
