1833: Intaglio negative ring handstamp "PRINCE OF WALES ISLAND/POST OFFICE" (Proud P.S.4), with date '10th/Augt./1833' by manuscript, on reverse of entire duplicate letter from 'Pinang 16th July 1833' (dated inside by m/s) to London 'via Madras' (noted on front), bearing also on reverse red rectangular framed "INDIA LETTER/KINGSBRIDGE" h/s. Not a perfect but identifiable strike of the very scarce 'Prince of Wales Island' handstamp. (Tax Method: Regular Taxation)
